Biography

As a 4-year letterman on his college’s varsity baseball team, Dr. Christopher J. Kestner, M.D., knows the importance of foot and ankle health.

“The ankle and foot represent one of the most vital structures of the human body,” Dr. Kestner notes. “However, it is also one of the most overlooked. Until someone has an injury or issue, it’s difficult to imagine the frustration with experiencing pain on every step throughout the day.”

After medical school, Dr. Kestner started his career at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed his Orthopaedic residency. During this intensive 5-year training, he specialized in severe trauma and musculoskeletal injury.

He followed this residency with a foot and ankle fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. There he practiced advanced reconstruction techniques, including total ankle replacements, tendon transfers, and foot realignment. He also focused on elite athletic injury repair and rehabilitation.

Dr. Kestner’s goal is to provide every patient with individual and attentive care so they can get back to feeling their best as quickly as possible. Foot and ankle treatments differ for every patient, but they can frequently involve medication, therapy, shoe modifications, and sometimes surgical correction. He always uses the most proven techniques and modern advances available.
