A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Cain is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he studied Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Engineering. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he also completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. Dr. Cain then pursued advanced fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he served as assistant team physician for several professional sports teams including the Houston Astros (MLB), Houston Rockets (NBA), Houston Texans (NFL), and Houston Dynamo (MLS). While in Houston, he also worked closely with collegiate athletes at Rice University and collaborated with the medical teams supporting the astronauts at NASA. He has published on revision shoulder arthroplasty and novel techniques for proximal hamstring repairs.
Dr. Cain dedicates himself to caring for a wide range of patients, from young athletes aiming to return to peak performance to older individuals seeking to regain mobility and quality of life. He employs the latest technology for his patients, including robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive techniques.
